The Forty Five Club was founded in 1974 with the aim of drawing together veterans tennis players (men 45 and over, women 40 and over) so as to provide them with wider opportunities for playing tennis competitively or simply for pleasure. The club has grown to its present size of 800 members and there are over 100 Forty Five Club members who live overseas in many different countries. The 45 Club organises one day tournaments, matches against other clubs and overseas tennis trips - If you would like to find out more or to enquire about membership more details are on the "About Us" page.
The Forty Five Club is nomadic, without its own premises. The Queen’s Club in Baron’s Court has kindly provided it with a formal address and the Forty Five Club Annual General Meeting and Cocktail Party and an annual Christmas luncheon are held there.
Membership of the Forty Five Club does not, however, confer any of the rights and privileges enjoyed by members of Queen’s.
