Two events at Chigwell cancelled due to lack of support

Two tournaments, one the "Champions Invitation Tournament", which were scheduled to be held at Chigwell, were cancelled due to lack of entries. We'd like to know why. Is it a matter of distance, the wrong direction or what? Please supply thoughts.      See full story...

45 Club moves into the age of electronic communications

On November 1st the first Newletter using our new integrated links to the website will go out. Newsletters will come out on the 1st of each month telling 45ers what has been arriving on our website. Most of the new information is put onto the News page but readers will also be pointed to new information in other sections. A new section we want members to use is the Forum in which people can advertise they are looking for partners or are available; organisers of events can put promotional material etc etc.      See full story...

The new Forum page contains a number of "blog" possibilities which allow members and event organisers to post information and/or questions. In particular, members can put up a bit of text about themselves and advertise for partners for forthcoming events.      See full story...

We win in Denmark

Friedmann's win the Peter Pan Trophy at Oxshott

A strong entry contested this prestigious trophy at Oxshott on June 17th. Under grey skies and threatening rain the round robin stages produced some tight matches and excellent tennis - which competed for the attention of competitors while Heather Watson was battling through at Wimbledon on TV.      See full story...
